Aquatic Easter Egg Hunt

March 22, 2026 | The Pavilion

Join us for one of our most exciting spring traditions — the Annual Aquatic Easter Egg Hunt! Participants will splash, swim, and search for eggs in the pool for a fun and unique holiday experience.

Sensory Hour

We are proud to offer a Sensory Hour for all ages from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, designed to provide a comfortable and inclusive environment for individuals and families who benefit from a quieter, less crowded experience.

Hunt Schedule by Age

  • Ages 3–5: 12:30 PM–1:00 PM

  • Ages 6–9: 1:30 PM–2:00 PM

  • Ages 10–12: 2:30 PM–3:00 PM

Children will swim to collect eggs, so swimsuits are required.

Important: Parents or guardians must be in the water with children under age 5.

Admission

  • Daily entry fee to the Pavilion applies

Ed Davis Easter Egg Hunt

Join us for the Ed Davis Easter Egg Hunt on April 4th at 4:00 PM at Boston Community Park. This free community event promises an afternoon of family fun and springtime excitement.

Children will have the chance to search for up to 5,000 hidden eggs, and attendees can enjoy raffles for toys, Easter baskets, and even bicycles throughout the event.

This event is proudly presented in partnership with St. Paul Lodge #11, Queen Vashti #37, and the Georgetown Police Department.

Bring the whole family and celebrate the season with us at this exciting community tradition. We look forward to seeing you there!

Paws in the Park Easter Egg Hunt

Join us for a fun-filled morning at our annual Paws in the Park Easter Egg Hunt on April 4, 2026, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at Scott County Park! This exciting event invites dogs and their owners to celebrate the season together with a special Easter egg hunt designed just for our four-legged friends. Dogs will search for treat-filled eggs, enjoy the chance to win prizes, and pose for photos with the Easter Bunny.

Event Schedule:

  • 10:00 AM: Pictures with the Easter Bunny

  • 10:30 AM: Egg Hunt begins

  • Following the Hunt: Raffles begin

Guests can also participate in a raffle for additional prizes. Raffle tickets are available for $5 and may be purchased at the Humane Society between March 30 and April 4. The raffle winner will be announced during the event.

This event is presented in partnership with the Scott County Humane Society, supporting community programs that benefit local pets and families.

Night at the Park

Join us for a free evening under the stars at Scott County Community Park! Night at the Park is a fun and educational stargazing event where attendees can explore the night sky and learn more about astronomy.

Throughout the evening, interactive stations will be set up to help visitors learn about constellations, planets, and other fascinating parts of the night sky. Guests are encouraged to bring their own telescopes if they have one, but it’s not required—there will be plenty to see and learn for everyone.

GSC Friends of the Park will also be on-site selling concessions, so be sure to grab a snack while enjoying the evening.

Movies in the parks is a community event that offers the residents and visitors of Scott County and the surrounding counties the opportunity to gather together, experience the park, and enjoy arts and culture in an outdoor environment. Activities will begin at 8:00pm and the screening will begin around dark each night.

Movies in the parks is a community event that offers the residents and visitors of Scott County and the surrounding counties the opportunity to gather together, experience the park, and enjoy arts and culture in an outdoor environment. Activities will begin at 8:00pm and the screening will begin around dark each night.

Paws in the Pool

Paws in the Pool is a pool party for your pooch! There are two separate swimming times for dogs below 40 lbs. and dogs above 40 lbs. Small dogs are allowed at the large dog event at the owner’s discretion. Paws in the Pool is held in September on the Sunday of Festival of the Horse, after the Blessing of the Animals. Additional rules apply during this event and a registration form has to be completed prior to the event. Be sure to take a look at our events calendar and Facebook for up-to-date information on all our events and programs.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Proof of current vaccinations certificate required at registration.
  • Each dog must be accompanied by a responsible adult handler aged 18 years or older.
  • Limit two (2) dog at a time per handler.
  • Handlers will be allowed in the pool only to help their dog in and out.
  • NO human swimming!
  • No dogs in heat.
  • No dogs under 6 months old.
  • No aggressive dogs.  You are responsible for your dog’s behavior while on parks and recreation property, including interaction with other dogs. Please attend to your dog at all times.
  • GSC Parks and Recreation staff will ask overly aggressive dogs and their owners to leave the premises. No refunds will be offered.
  • Clean up after your dogs!  Take them out of the pool area to do their business (in the grassy area, not on the concrete).  Please come prepared with your own bags.
  • No prong, choke or chain collars.  Dogs must wear flat buckle/snap collars when the dog is off leash.  Full body harnesses are acceptable. Dogs must be on-leash when out of the water.
  • Children must be under parental control at all times and may not get into the pool with the dog.
  • Please ask your children to NOT approach any dog without first asking the owner. Your child may like dogs, but the dogs may not like children!
  • Water only will be permitted in the pool area.  No glass is permitted in the facility.

Additional Information:

  • Dog life vests are permitted.
  • Lifeguards will be on duty for humans only and will not assists dogs.
  • Anyone entering the pool area will be required to sign a release of liability form.
  • The water slide, play structure and lazy river will NOT be open during the swim.

Thrilled to Give

Thrilled to Give is a community event held downtown each year. It’s purpose is to raise donations for the AMEN House through canned goods donations. Leading up to Thrilled to Give is Thriller Zombie School which teaches participants in the Thrilled to Give parade the dance steps to the “Thriller” song.
