Learn MoreI would 110% recommend Georgetown-Scott County Parks and Recreation not just for the amazing programs and opportunities but also as a place of occupation. I just finished working for Parks and Rec after 3 years. Started as a Lifeguard at 15 and made my way up. After 2 years Head Lifeguard and finally Pool Manager. Loved every second of every day at work. Not only are the co-workers some of your best friends, may it be from school or through the friendship you’ve made at work, but your supervisors are there for YOU. They care! Bronson Williams and Mary Franey were the greatest supervisors I could have asked for throughout my 3 years. They taught me more than I could have imagined, pushed for me to gain the many certifications ( Life guarding Instructor & Water Safety Instructor) you can get while being an employee, and gave me opportunities other places just simply couldn’t. If ANYONE is looking for a first time job this is the place to go. Couldn’t recommend it more. Very flexible schedule (almost any day you request off), as many hours (up to 40) as you want during the summer, flexible school schedule, many certifications offered that you can put on your resume, you can work outside AND inside (Pavilion, Suffoletta, and The Horse Park) and many many more reasons. If you are interested at any point go to www.gscparks.com and see when the next classes for lifeguards are available!
Wonderful facilities, programs. and activities for all ages!

Best gym Georgetown has had in years. It has everything. I especially love the pool. It's huge and has a slide. It's clean and the staff is wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone.
